The captivating lore of the Little Traverse Bay region includes the Legend of the Crooked Tree. Long ago overhanging a nearby bluff, a tall, crooked tree silhouetted against the sky could be seen for miles by approaching canoes. It meant home for the Ottawa tribe and welcomed their visitors.
It's easy to imagine those days of long ago as you play the course at Crooked Tree Golf Club. The magnificent vistas of distant shores, rolling hills and the reflective waters of Lake Michigan haven't changed.
To complement the glorious past and natural beauty, we at Crooked Tree Golf Club have carefully attuned our homesites, Victorian style architecture, clubhouse and exciting 18-hole golf course to the terrain. Reminiscent of the seaside courses of the British Isles and Monterey Peninsula, the lush bent grass tees, dramatic fairways, greens, large landing areas and multiple tees on all holes create a course of incomparable beauty and playability.
