The Eagle Crest Golf Club features an 18-hole championship golf course overlooking the picturesque Ford Lake in Ypsilanti Township. The par 72 course provides any golfing buff with one of the most challenging courses in Southeastern Michigan. The layout of the course - designed by Karl Litten of Boca Raton, Fla., and built by Caverly Construction Co. of Bloomfield Hills, Mich. - dares both novice and seasoned golfers with several holes bordering the banks of Ford Lake and five scenic but challenging water hazards.
Those golfers who just wish to work on their golf swing instead of playing the course can also enjoy the beautiful view from the modern driving range, which is situated high on the bluff overlooking the golf course and Ford Lake. The range, which is open to the public, allows golfers to practice hitting shots from an open grassy area into the spacious driving range.
Inside the clubhouse, designed by Wakely Associates Inc. of Warren, Mich., golfers can treat themselves to all the amenities of a modern resort complex, in cluding a complete golf shop, a delightful grill and beverage area, spacious men's and women's locker rooms and a large separate banquet facility, which is available at a nominal fee for group meetings, social events and civic functions.
This new and widely recognized golf resort is rapidly gaining a reputation as one of the finest in Michigan.
The golf complex, owned and operated by Eastern Michigan University, is open to the public. Advance reservations are recommended.
